Site excavation is serious business. Excavators and the act of excavating Cable Hauling plays an important role in the installation and integration of new and existing infrastructure.
This course is designed for participants to achieve the required performance outcomes‚ skills and knowledge to haul underground cable, involving installation and recovery of cables, including multi- pair, coaxial and optical fibre in access networks or customer premises, in line with current Telstra standards.
We assess your competency by reviewing what you have done in the past and what you do currently. To successfully navigate this Unit of Competency, we need to receive from you documentation of activities that have done in the past. We map this information against the requirements of the Unit of Competency. Most of the documentation that you will need to supply will meet the requirements that we need. However, if we identify any gaps in your skills or knowledge, we provide “gap training” to fill the void.
Once we are happy that all of the requirements have been met, we will issue a Statement of Attainment for the Unit of Competency.

How is this Done: We will assess your competency by reviewing your past and current work experience and by assessing your skill and experience levels. We will ask you for documents that will demonstrate relevant tasks and work activities performed in your past and current work roles. If we identify any gaps in your skills or knowledge, we will provide you with "gap training" to fill those gaps.
